She sniffed.
He ignored.
She sniffed again. He did not hear, or so it appeared.
She mopped her eyes.
He kept talking.
Seconds passed, like centuries.
She couldn't help, sniffed again.
He looked up.
Her eyes wandered without touching his.
"It's alright," he said, softly.
She looked up at him,
"Is it?"
He had no answer.
